Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen star in the incredible film “Badlands”. It’s completely wackadoo, while also being so absorbing. (The movie follows the pair as they begin a Bonnie and Clyde type killing spree, but with less monetary motivation, and more sociopathic desires.)

Surely, it’s a movie about lovers. It’s a movie about America. It’s a movie about music. And, lesser known fact, it is the source of some really awesome wardrobe inspiration. Sissy Spacek’s outfits transition over the course of the film– definitely some heavy symbolism going on there– from frilly and girly to more tailored and masculine.

I, unsurprisingly, like Ms. Spacek pre-murders, and have compiled images of some of my favorite outfits. (Also, for all you “The West Wing” fans, Martin is SO great. Except, I just keep thinking, President Bartlett, you’re gonna screw up your future!!)
