Yay for Sweden—home of designer Josef Frank! Frank was an incredible artist, having produced some of the most vivid, decorative textiles over the course of the last century. Intermingling bold colors with rich designs, Frank’s textiles make for perfect pops of color in an otherwise monochromatic room.

I am totally obsessed with the concept of recovering a couch in my apartment with a Josef Frank design. With a simple couch or chair, slip-covers aren’t terribly difficult to put together. It’s definitely an undertaking, and for sure a project for multiple rainy days, but I can guarantee the finished product will be fun and bold!

My roommate and I are going for a blue theme, so here are some dream Frank fabrics I earmarked. Also, alternatively, one could make a couple of pillow cases!:
