I have never learned quite how to pair different ice cream flavors. I am the first person to think peach, nutella and bacon gelato will taste incredible together. (Very, very real side note: They do not.) I have an issue with overdecorating and over-
adding. My mentality has always been, more is more– even when less is so clearly, so blatantly, obviously more. That needs another feather! Another color! Another print!
I would be a terrible interior designer. Or at least, I would end up entirely over budget. I just like a lot of things! I visually respond more to contrast and to giant pops of color than neutral tones. I like pops everywhere. All over. Really, just one giant mess of color.
This is a trait not lost on my friends. From Valentine’s Day cards, to excursions to the pottery store, I always manage to overdo it. I can’t stop myself. I’m like a meteor hurtling towards earth when I start to decorate. My target is earth, I will get there come hell or high water. More accurately, my target is a birthday cake, and I will make my brother find it original no matter what.
Question, dear blog readers: Is more really more? Or is less really just a new way to say goodbye? (Sorry, I had to do that. I just wanted to sound like Carrie Bradshaw for once in my life. Does she ever actually make sense when she poses questions?)
