I don’t know how, but I’ve quite possibly become more anal in my old age. (This seems so improbable because I already devote 93% of my time to stewing on things.) For example, when I was a little girl, I used to recite my plans for the next day aloud to myself before bed. Cute or crazy? You be the judge. In college, a lot of my mental energy is devoted to whether or not I’ll be prepared for something. Alternate realities play in my head, and I get anxious about what may or may not be necessary in the case of an alien invasion.

If you’re anything like this, you will be forever indebted to Pinch Provisions. This brand has been around for a while, and its product line is expanding rapidly! Little pouches come in different colors and patterns filled to the brim with key items for a particular event. (You’ve definitely seen these around. Maybe their Mini Emergency kit?) Not that I have ever been/will ever be a festival goer, but Pinch Provisions even produces a Festival Kit. It includes a rain poncho, dry shampoo, temporary tattoos, ear buds and more. These kits make great gifts, and, of course, help you out in a pinch. (I always appreciate some apt naming…) Other great themes? Bachelorette, Mom, Tween, and some helpful How To’s on camping, being a gentleman and sports.

I find that gift giving, especially for boys, gets difficult. This is a fun, creative way to finally follow through on that hint to your boyfriend that he needs to ask for directions: some kits include a compass. Genius!
