I am an over-the-shoulder-sweater-wearer– meaning, I don’t like to constrict my arms. I like the warmth on my shoulders, but I prefer the freedom to move more actively. On top of that, even coats can prove a little too restrictive. (Mainly the case because I wear a coat from 10th grade that I’m unwilling to give up, so I can’t really move my arms. No Macarena in winter for me. Alas.)
That being said, I am a huge fan of the cape trend. I used to think it was too mature for someone my age…either I’m growing up, or it’s becoming more accessible. Every brand seems to be making a cape this Fall, and I’ve found a whole range for y’all to check out! Prices vary, as do designs. Personally, I’m a sucker for Red Valentino’s scalloped cape. If you recall, I love scallops (click for an article on scallop obsessions!).
